Maria Alejandra Brito is a Latin American contemporary artist, nature lover and activist. Vibrant colors, curved and geometric shapes are characteristics of her art. Exhibit runs from May 1-June 30.
Brito's work has been described as "a representation of fantasy and nature, with the use of oneiric images, overlapped figures," on a multi-colored background. Painting, mixed-media and upcycled art are the ways she creates. Check out her art on Instagram: @mabvisualartist
Her artwork has been exhibited in Franklin Park Arts Center, BlackRock Center for the Arts, Delaplaine Arts Center, Prince George’s Publick Playhouse for the Performing Arts, Annmarie Arts Center, The Phillips Collection, McLean Project for the Arts, Baltimore House of Culture, La Cosecha Marketplace exhibition Balcon, Loudoun Government Center, Loudoun Visitor Center, Loudoun County libraries, and galleries (Reston, Del Ray Artisans, Falls Church Arts, Touchstone, Art Impact International).
