Vladimir Grablev's "Portraits of Shenandoah" is a photographic study of the national park depicting the mountains as living beings with a soul, character and many faces. Runs from July 1-Aug. 31.
Grablev seeks to create portraits rather than landscapes and capture inner beauty rather than the apparent makeup of colors. He looks for shapes and textures, light and shadows, timeless and transient as he explores popular destinations and trails less taken, capturing familiar views and ubiquitous scenes.
