Celebrate Jane Austen's 250th birthday with Rita Baker-Schmidt, JASNA Regional Coordinator Emerita. She reveals the flowers Austen loved and how to create an Austenesque garden in your backyard.

Discover the gardens in the locations where Jane Austen lived and in the pages of her books. Rita Baker-Schmidt is a writer, musician, artist, and longtime member of the Jane Austen Society of North America (JASNA), serving as the Maryland Region’s coordinator for several years. She organizes the annual Jane Austen Day in Monkton, Maryland, and is a planning committee member for the upcoming international JASNA Annual General Meeting in Baltimore.
