Samantha Sprague explores gravity, geology, and geography using 3D-printed terrains and ecosystems to create abstract landscapes in a mixed-media style she calls Topographia.
Sprague’s work explores texture and dimension by playing with layers of glue, metal, plaster, and glass to create landscapes of light and shadow. Inspired by planet Earth and the Solar System, Topographia uses art to tell stories of space and time.
See the artist at work on Sundays, April 6-June 29, 12:30-4:30 p.m. (except for April 20 when the library is closed).
