Led by French horn player Abe Mamet, this ensemble weaves textures rooted in groove and a commitment to thoughtful improvisation, seeking beautiful horizons for the listener and themselves.
Abe Mamet has been called D.C.'s "major jazz French horn player" by the Washington Post, and uses his instrument to explore the full range of texture and tonalities offered by the genre. Leading the septet, Mamet creates music that Post pop critic Chris Richards has described as "nuanced, dignified and alert as conversation between close friends."
