Meeting RoomA lively talk by journalist, historian, and author Marc Leepson on the life of the Marquis de Lafayette. Book signing to follow.
Based on Leepson's popular, concise biography Lafayette: Lessons in Leadership from the Idealist General, this program focuses on Lafayette's crucial role in the American victory over the British in the Revolutionary War, including dozens of slides that illustrate how the 19-year-old French nobleman became a Major General in the Continental Army, a close confidant of George Washington, and a beloved figure in the Colonial period and the Early Republic known far and wide as "Our Marquis."
