S.W. O’Connell is a retired U.S. Army officer and Senior Defense Intelligence Executive with more than 25 years of experience planning and executing intelligence and counterintelligence operations in Europe and worldwide. After leaving the Army, he served in senior civilian intelligence roles with the Department of Defense. Since retiring, he has turned his love of America’s past into the acclaimed Yankee Doodle Spies series, an absorbing look at the American Revolution through the eyes of General George Washington’s spies.
