Hear about the accomplishments of Norvel Lee, a civil rights pioneer, Olympic champion, Tuskegee Airman, educator and youth mentor, and the pivotal role the Town of Leesburg played in his life.

Conklin's extensive research for the book, NORVEL: An American Hero led the Commonwealth of Virginia to designate a portion of US 220 in Botetourt County as the Norvel LaFallette Ray Lee Memorial Highway and for a historical marker to be placed along the highway. Conklin was presented a 2022 Kegley Preservation Award for his work.
