Historian Mike Washvill highlights how national security requirements of the Cold War drove new defense technologies which led to civilian and commercial applications essential to our everyday lives.
After his service in the army, Washvill was an electrical engineer specializing in radio and wireline communications. He currently volunteers at the Cold War Museum.
