Max W. Johnson, Colonel, US Army (Ret), describes his experience as a Battery Executive Officer and Commander in Vietnam during two tours.

West Point graduate Colonel Johnson deployed to Vietnam in 1966 where he served as Battery Executive Officer and Battery Commander. He was wounded and received the Air Medal for Valor and the Purple Heart.
