Meeting Room B

Step into the world of giant balloons, dazzling floats, and parade pageantry as you celebrate the 100th Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.

Learn about its history and get an inside look at modern parade magic from a representative of the nationally recognized Reston Town Center Holiday Parade. Discover how those incredible balloons and floats come to life and what it takes to bring them safely down the parade route. Design your own puppet, float, and/or balloon character to showcase in our Cascades library parade. Come ready to learn, create, and let your imagination take flight!
