The Picasso Suite

This horn quartet performs their original piece of work The Picasso Suite. A project written by band leader Cam Millar to celebrate the artist and his musical collaborators.

The Weather People is composed of Cam Millar (trombone), Anita Thomas (tenor sax), Howard Thomas (alto sax) and Adam Hanlin (trumpet). They play original compositions and arrangements by Millar, inspired by all manner of musical genres and eras of horn-driven music. Listen long enough and you’ll encounter influences from jazz, rock, Latin, classical/art music, James Brown, Blood Sweat and Tears, Earth Wind and Fire, Chicago, Stravinsky, John Williams, Tito Puente, Duke Ellington, Mozart, and more.
