In the exhibit, About Earth, contemporary Latin-American artist Maria Brito showcases art pieces inspired by nature to inspire a collective reconnection with our planet.
Maria Brito's art has been described as "an oneiric representation of nature, on a background constructed with multi-colored brushstrokes." She has a bachelor’s degree in architecture and has continued her art studies in Venezuela, Brazil, Argentina, and USA. Her work has been shown in Franklin Park Arts Center, BlackRock Center for the Arts, Delaplaine Arts Center, Chesapeake Arts Center, Prince George’s Publick Playhouse, Annmarie Arts Center, Barns of Rose Hill, Phillips Collection, McLean Project for the Arts, Nuestras Raices House, La Cosecha, and the Loudoun Government Center.
