The Battle of Britain is commonly known as an air battle between the British Royal Air Force (RAF) and the German Luftwaffe. While this was a significant aspect of the conflict, there was another event occurring, a Nazi plan to invade Great Britain. The British launched an effort to prevent this invasion, which ultimately succeeded, though not in the way they had originally planned.
