Meeting Room A

Percussionist Tom Teasley and trumpeter Dave Ballou merge global percussion and post-bop jazz into a bold dialogue of sound.

Led by internationally acclaimed percussionist Tom Teasley, this series explores the creative possibilities of two artists in conversation.  Each collaboration pairs Teasley’s boundary-defying approach to rhythm with a partner whose artistry offers a fresh perspective. The result is a body of work that is spontaneous, genre-transcending, and deeply human.

Additional performances of The Art of the Duo are:

Sunday, Oct. 26, 2 p.m. - Ashburn Library: percussionist Tom Teasley and bansuri flute master John Wubbenhorst

Saturday, Nov. 8, 2 p.m. - Cascades Library: percussionist Tom Teasley and singer Heidi Martin
