Enter your short story into our annual writing contest for a chance to win a cash prize! This contest is open to teens and adults.

Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three finalists in the middle school, high school, and adult categories: First place: $200, Second place: $100, Third place: $50.

Awards ceremonies featuring guest author Meg Medina will be held at Eagle Ridge Middle School (42901 Waxpool Road, Ashburn).

Saturday, May 9, 2026
Adult ceremony: 3 p.m.
Middle and High School Ceremony: 4:30 p.m.
