Navigating College Admissions

Freshmen, Sophomores, and Juniors

The program for high school teens and parents tackles the admissions process, current trends, application reviews, community service, and test scores. It will be live for multiple organizations.

During the session, we’ll cover: 

• Key admissions trends and strategies, including the evolving test-optional environment and the effects of the financial pressures many colleges are managing
• How to research and visit colleges to identify good-fit schools
• What admissions officers look for in applications — grades, activities, essays, and character
• Ways students can build a compelling narrative through community service and passion projects, and meaningful experiences
• A suggested timeline and action steps to reduce stress and stay on track

The presentation will be led by Ron Feuchs and Jackie Tepper, partners at Stand Out for College, LLC.
