The health of the Chesapeake Bay and Virginia's waters is a responsibility all of us share. Nutrient management is one strategy for keeping our waterways clean. While government programs largely target the agricultural sector, there is also a role for every landowner, whether urban or rural, to contribute to the effort.

Anita Tuttle was the Urban Nutrient Managment Coordinator at the Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation.
