View photographs of the Appalachian Mountains, taken with an old medium format film camera and rolls of color film
"The Appalachian Mountains of the East are different. Being one of the oldest mountain systems on the planet, they are not tall, do not have jagged peaks, or very deep canyons. At first, it might feel that this Eastern beauty cannot rival with the West. I believe that the East has a special kind of beauty, one that requires patience to discover and appreciate. Even some popular places are not always simple to perceive when we see them for the first time. With practice, we can learn to see more than just a nice view, recognize the dynamic nature of the place and return when conditions can be appreciated in different light and colors."
